Office Glamour: Black and White

What I love most about fashion is that it’s forever evolving, but for this year’s black and white trend, I wish it could stay. It just so classic, versatile and practical. As long as you pick the right shape and accessories, this combo really can take you anywhere.

Here, Cameron Diaz & Victoria Beckham showed us how to take this trend to the office with the right balance of subdued glamorous and fashion-conscious:

Black pumps and bags are work wardrobe staples, this season, change them into white. Team with a knee-length or below the knee dress. A gold belt or watch adds just the right amount of luxe touch.

Victoria Beckham exemplifies the minimalist chicness. Her ‘secret’ lies in the details: from a sexy heel with metallic accent and flirty V-cut topline, a understated luxurious clutch to a deep V-neck shirt and an impeccable tailored jacket tossed over her shoulders.

就拿我们呆的时间最长的办公室来说吧，把以往常备的黑色高跟鞋和公文包换成白色，加上一条黑白拼接的及膝或膝下裙（Cameron Diaz所穿的这条现在三折！），既符合潮流又优雅端庄。以极简现代风格著称的Victoria Beckham则在细节上脱颖而出，比如她脚上的这双金属跟的鞋（最喜欢楦头的桃心设计！）和低调优雅的手包，披在肩头的外套，低开领的衬衫以及精致的细腰带等。

Simple Chic: Jeans and Studded Booties

There are always lazy days when I don’t want to think about my outfit, just gravitate towards some simple yet trusty pieces, like a basic black top and favorite skinny jeans or denim shorts.

For omnipresent combo like this, as always, we need to rely on accessories to make them stand out. As Rosie Huntington-Whiteley & Miranda Kerr showed here: a chic fedora, right-on-trend studded booties, eye-catching yet practical ‘It’ bags, fabulous sunglasses or even just a wipe of red lipstick can make a big difference.

Another trick learned from Miranda Kerr: if you are self-conscious about a certain back area like I do when wearing hot shorts (you know what I mean), tie something around your waist: a denim shirt, leather jacket, hoodies or cardigan, which will add details to an outfit while super practical when temperature changes.

In Chinese: 总有那么几天，出门前懒得去想该穿什么，习惯性地把手伸向衣橱里那些我最信任的单品：简单的黑白T和牛仔裤。但是要把这些太过于平常的搭配穿出彩，配饰总是必不可少的。就像今天的这两位街拍偶像示范的一样：无论是一顶绅士风格的小礼帽，一双大热的铆钉踝靴，还是抢眼又实用的IT包，都能瞬间提升即使是最简单的搭配。

一个小技巧：如果你也有和我一样的困扰，穿热裤的时候总是担心后面太短，那就像辣妈Miranda Kerr学习，系一个外套在腰间，不但可以增加层次感，当气温变化的时候也能保暖。

Spice Up Black & White

Black/white is a huge trend this season and will stay strong this fall/winter. This classic color combo actually never goes out of style, I think one reason is that it creates the perfect canvas for fashion lovers to play around by adding colors, patterns & prints, by changing textures, medias and shapes.

Our featured star Olivia Palermo showed us exactly how through these two outfits above: instead of using pure black and white pieces, she chose geometric or animal print ones. Even for basic black outerwear, she pays attention to details by choosing a baseball version with mesh sleeves and a draped front design made of sequins.

When it comes to accessories, she is definitely at the top of the game! Here, she added ethnic necklace, animal print shoes and bright bag to spice up the monochrome palette, making it fun and exotic.
