European Chic: Striped Wide Leg Pants

If you ask me what to pack for a trip to Europe, the first thing that comes into my mind should be a pair of navy/white striped wide-leg pants! Whether walking round in Paris, enjoying dinner in Greek, or soaking up the sun in Mediterranean, it just fits all the scene perfectly, let alone how versatile and practical it is:

The silky breezy material and comfy loose fit make it great for traveling; the chic and luxe vibe make it easy to transform when arrive at your destination: with wedges/flats for day or stilettos for night. The classic color combo just goes with every top you bring. After the vacation, you can wear it straightly to the office with a tailored blazer and structured tote!

When choosing yours, those with vertical stripes and high waist design are more flattering and leg-elongating. Also, don’t take “wide-leg” too literally. Find one that is relatively slim fitting. Pair it with fitted, sleeveless tops to get the right balance, like today’s featured ladies did.

As you can see, I’m obsessed with the color yellow now. It’s so endearing and uplifting, universally flattering and incredibly versatile. It’s also a color that is ageless and seasonless.

There are so many ways to play with it. Start with shapes, you can find flirty peplum, dramatic ball gown, sexy bodycon or sleek sheath from the top picks featured below.

This buoyant color also adds its own spin to our favorite materials: It infuses youthful exuberance to delicate silk, livens up the mature jacquard or tweed, tones down the sexiness of lace…

Either wear it as a pop of color to your monochrome ensemble for a chic daytime look or team it with other primary colors or metallic accents for a glamorous evening look, have fun experimenting with your yellow pieces!

Party Looks: Sweet Day or Seductive Night

What comes along with our full-swing social calendar is the constant conundrum: “what to wear?” Today, I picked two glamorous party-perfect outfits that are great for most warm weather events: sweet and demure for daytime, sexy and seductive for night-time.

Miranda Kerr has the ability to seamlessly blend hot trends with her signature glamorous style. I think the key is mixing new with old, mixing unexpected things with familiar elements. For example: choose a mirror floral print or embellished lace dress that’s in classic, sleek sheath or slim pencil silhouette; offset bold, bright pieces with quiet, classic items like a black bag or simple pump.

As always, balance is key. Take a hint from Miranda Kerr: If you already choose a printed dress and bright shoes, keep bag neutral and jewelry to a minimum for a fresh yet sweet daytime look; If you want to go bold for night, like the above right look of Miranda Kerr, opt for a bold dress, statement jewelry and scarlet lip, then keep the color palette simple and sophisticated.
