Feminine Luxury Meets Downtown Chic: Jason Wu’s Jourdan Tote

I adore big structure bags with detachable straps. They are stylish yet versatile. They can hold all of our essentials from Ipad, documents to makeups and snacks and can also add some downtown chic to our looks.

But when it comes to color choices, the decision can be tough: This kind of bag in black and brown plus the rigid shape of the bag tends to make me look formal and heavy. Other bright colors are not so versatile. So white is my favorite choice: The clean color adds more feminine grace to the bag, and can instantly make us spring/summer-ready. That’s why I was so happy to see Rosie huntington Whiteley caring her white tote in NYC:

Amanda Wakeley is one of my favorites female designers, not only because of her luxury but practical, alluring and understated, body enhancing yet comfortable collections, but also because of her self-taught experience and her pure passion for creating clothes that women really love to wear regardless of age.

That’ why I was so thrilled to see Kate on Amanda Wakeley‘s sleek, elegant white dress when she went to the Royal Marsden Hospital last year and even more thrilled to see Kate on the exactly same dress but different color-grey couple of days ago when she went to Imperial War Museum:

Seven Lessons on How to Wear White Blazer (Part 2 of White Blazer Series)

Summer is around the corner, I really want to take the time and dedicate myself to a series posts about timeless white essentials. My first pick is white blazers. In my previous post, I shared with you five stylish ways of pairing white blazer with black pieces. By adding different accessories or trying the different materials or cuts of the blazer, we can achieve totally different styles.

Today, in our part 2 of white blazer series, I want to share with you how to rock white blazers with colorful or interest and fun pieces: from stripes and prints, from solid colors to romantic floral, from shorts to skirt, from leather to denim…There are so many lessons we need to learn.

Lesson 1 is from Miranda Kerr and Michelle Williams. Both of them were using the same style “formula”(I hate to use the word “formula” or “rule” when it comes to fashion, my only rule is looking good,having fun. But let’s just use this word to express the similar fashion ideas or the easy ways to pair certain garments): stripes+bold solid color+white blazer=eye catching fresh look. The white blazer can turn down the intense contrasts, also add a crisp touch to the outfit.
