Claudia Schiffer caught my eyes first because of her stylish ways of using scarves and statement necklaces, two things that I rely on when it comes to accessories because I have never had my ears pierced thus lost the chance of playing with statement earrings. Claudia didn’t get her ears pierced until 2006 when she had to do so for commercials.
After I started to follow her looks, I have been deeply impressed by her taste of understated fashion styles, favor of basic pieces, sharp eyes of statement accessories. Many of her looks are perfect for transitional seasons, that’s why I want to dedicate today’s entry to her.
First thing I want to share is her printed scarves. Her love for colorful scarves is as much as for her signature Chloé sunglasses, both have been spotted on her frequently. From the looks above and below, you may have already noticed that how a printed scarf instantly updated her basic pieces: white blouses, simple cashmere sweaters and classic stripe tee shirts that we all have in our closet. Printed scarves can easily create perfect frames for our faces while adding the just right amount of colors to our basic outfits.

Marc by Marc Jacobs (great buy under $30 here)
Kate Spade (on sale now!)
Second I want to share is her footwear. As a mother of three children, a business woman with a successful label, you can’t find any inappropriate or exaggerated elements on her. Everything she chooses echoes her understated chic style. Her shoes are versatile, easy to walk in, also with the perfect amount of edginess, elegance and chicness, which means all of them can be easily adopted by us for our daily wear.
Among the four pairs below, it’s hard to pick a favorite. For me, they are all essentials and suitable for different occasions. I adore the luxurious satin material and the unique leopard print of this Christian Louboutin pump which is perfect for a night out; appreciate the trendy ankle-strap design, comfy wedges and versatile hue of this Alejandro Ingelmo sandal which can take us from desk to dinner; love the impeccable cut-outs and the romantic rose shade of this Sergio Rossi heels which instantly take an outfit to the next level.
But for this Chloé flats, beside the thoughtful nude ankle strap version on Claudia Schiffer, I love love this year’s new ballerina version, the design can be seen from high-end label Christian Dior’s fall 2012 runway looks, to high street brand Gap’s new commercial.

Last, but certainly not least, is her timeless handbag collection. Those who are familiar with her style may have noticed that each of her bags has been appeared with variety of her outfits. From the pictures above and below you can see that each one is truly trendy and classic, stylish yet functional.
Handbag is always my first investment/splurge choice. A good one with carefully selected material, extraordinary craftsmanship and timeless design can accompany us many years and make us feel the best every time we carry it, just like these four below by Mulberry, Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci:
