Blazer is truly a staple in any woman’s wardrobe. When it comes to color, we have so many options this season: pastels, stripes, bold solid colors and variety of prints. But I’m hesitating to invest in designer versions in these trendy colors. Although still want to get the most use out of my old trusty basic versions, I have no idea how to wear them in a fresh and modern way. If you have the same problem, then today’s post is for us–how to rock dark blazers in this time of the year!
Afraid that you repeat them too often? Well, think of Anna Wintour and her strappy sandals, Kate Moss and her signature jeans and Karl Lagerfeld and his black jacket, or his “never-taken-off sunglasses. If you stick to certain fashion pieces that suit you best, express you well, whether they are shoes, garment or jewelry, they will eventually become part of your signature personal style, just like all those fashion icons.
Afraid that it’s too top-heavy? Take a hint from these stylish ladies I featured above and below, balance your black or navy blazer with bare legs, liven it up with crisp white top or bold printed bottom. Whether you want a fun colorful weekend look, a modern sophisticated office look, a bold, edgy afterhour look, or a polished yet comfortable downtown chic look, you can find them all here.
Enjoy and don’t forget to check out last time we featured today’s ladies: Jessica Alba here, Gao Yuanyuan here, and Choi Soo Young here.
