Daytime Glamour: Crop Top

Midriff baring is not only trendy now, also quite practical for combating the heat. Wearing crop pieces for night-time is easy: a bustier with high-waisted pencil skirt or a bandeau and hot shorts with a boyfriend blazer. But styling it daytime appropriate can be quite challenging. Today, I featured two daytime chic outfits to give your some inspiration.

Compared to plain jersey version, the ones on today’s featured style-conscious starlets are more elegant and feminine thanks to the beautiful embroidered details and high neckline. Exposing just the right amount of skin by pairing them with high-waisted pants or skirts. Strappy sandals echo the polished glamour while the eye-catching It bags on them add a touch of urban chic.

Color Crush: Blush Pink

As you can see from the title, I’m obsessed with blush pink right now. It’s so sweet, fresh and feminine. There are so many different but equally intriguing shades you can choose from: the pale shade on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is sultry yet graceful; the dusty rose color spotted in Milan is nostalgic and demure; the peachy pink on Kate Middleton is buoyant and elegant.

When it comes to styling: black and navy toughen up the sweet blush pink, give it an urban chic vibe whereas soft, light neutrals add fresh and delicate touches to it.

As always, accessories make the outfit: A pair of snake-skin strap sandals elevates a sexy blush top; Lace-up booties and studded jewelry edge up a soft rosy sweater; Nude pumps and light brown clutch ground a cheerful peach dress.

Military Chic

The first time I fell in love with army clothing was when I saw this look of Tanya Ilieva. With a splash of neon, the camo looks so sweet, sexy and chic. Clearly, the military trend is still around, from army jacket to camouflage shirt and jeans, we constantly spot it on celebrities and trendsetters.

Compared to the relaxed camo pants or skinny jeans, jacket and shirt are much easier for many of us to pull off. The tip to wear this style is adding feminine elements to balance the masculine vibe of the top, like the mini skirt on Miranda Kerr and colored pumps on Selena Gomez (above). Then use casual pieces or accessories to echo the laid-back and carefree vibe, like the ankle booties and distressed jeans on the two ladies above. Extra bonus for finishing your look with a hint of glamour, like Miranda Kerr’s gold sunglasses and Selena Gomez’s silver cuff (great style here).
