Checks, stripes and polka dots are classic patterns that can be found in every woman’s wardrobe. But have you considered putting the three all together? The key is sticking to a simple color palette, like the basic black and white one seen on Olivia Palermo above.

Mixing two patterns that share at least one common color and the print elements are similar, is one easy way to get started. Once you are comfortable with the pattern-on-pattern look, start varying the sizes, then gradually add another pattern in. It’s advisable not to wear more than 3 patterns in the same outfit, which also get approved in today’s looks.

I'm Helen. In the huge fashion world, what attracts me the most is the way different people accessorize themselves. Our daily outfit choices are not just about the pieces we pick, they relate to something lurking deeply within our hearts: how we feel about ourselves, how we express ourselves to the rest of the world, what kind of people do we want to be and what kind of life do we want to live. Following my passion for fashion, I immerse myself in this bizarre world and try my best to share what I learned with you!
