Fall Pastels: Baby Blue Sweater and Jacket

Continuing our talk about fall pastel trend, Today I want to share with you two more looks that are great for the coming parties and get-togethers.

To balance the pretty and conservative baby blue pieces, Mandy Moore & Chelsea Leyland chose dark colors, tough materials, cool add-ons (love their booties and Leyland’s playful book clutch!). The overall looks are so modest and risky all at once!

Mandy Moore’s look especially amazed me: she is in head-to-toe Topshop, but looks so graceful, comfy and modern. It’s truly a look great for any age. So, for the moms out there, you are never too old to try Topshop!

Fall Pastels: Baby Blue Coat and Skirt

You may have noticed that pretty pastels like baby blue, powder pink, lavender, buttercup yellow, which are usually associated with spring, take center stage this fall. These beautiful, feminine colors soften heavy fabrics and lighten up our winter days.

The key to wearing pastels in fall/winter is combining them with familiar dark colors and rich shades like black, brown, burgundy and hunt green.

If you are not ready to commit to this trend, as always, start with accessories, like the baby blue tote spotted on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley here.

搭配这些颜色的关键在于平衡，引入这些淡雅的流行色的同时保留我们熟悉的秋冬的大地色系比如灰黑棕等，或浓郁的酒红、墨绿。像所有的流行趋势一样，如果你不确定自己是不是喜欢，是不是能驾驭，就从小的配件开始尝试，比如在上一篇博文里看到的超模Rosie Huntington-Whiteley所做的，提一个粉蓝色的手包来点亮整身的黑色造型。

Jumpsuit: From Summer to Fall

Jumpsuit has been around for a while, from summer’s short overalls to fall’s long sleeved versions as you can see on today’s featured ladies. There are several reasons why we love a great jumpsuit:

First of all, it creates a long, lean silhouette that will make us look taller and slimmer, especially the versatile black one. Secondly, it’s as romantic and dramatic as a sexy-goddess maxi dress but much more practical and versatile. Thirdly, it has the perfect masculine/feminine balance which we all love today. Last but not least, it’s a no-brainer! You can just throw on and you are good to go.

In Chinese: 连身裤已经流行了好一阵了，从夏天就到处可见的清凉的短打连身裤到今年秋冬好多明星和名媛都偏爱的长袖装。存在必有其合理性，我最喜欢这种裤装的几点：首先，这种一件式的设计没有截断身形的担心，穿起来修身又显高；其次，它是性感和酷帅的完美结合。穿起来有和希腊女神式的长裙一样的视觉冲击，但是又没有那么挑场合挑季节。一年四季都可以穿，配合不同的鞋子和配饰也很容易打造适合不同场合的look。更重要的是你几乎不用费心考虑怎么穿搭，像裙子一样，只要套上去再加上一两个简单的配饰，比如一双性感的高跟鞋，一个手包，甚至只搭一只简单的大手表，就很有型了。
