Magic Fashion Essential: Leopard Scarf

Leopard is such a special and magic print. It’s powerful enough to transform a plain outfit into a chic one or … a vulgar one.

Leopard can be such a beloved print, I think Christian Dior who first used it as a print and not fur in its 1947 spring-summer collection should at the top of my list I’m thankful for. Others in the list include Yves Saint Laurent who developed the print and Dolce & Gabbana who even used leopard as a signature feature.

Thanks to all the talented designers, leopard can be today’s leopard, not the name of a fur, even not just the name of a print, it becomes a symbol of sophistication and elegance.

To me, the best way to rock this print is with accessories of course. You know I’m a big believer in accessorizing. A leopard scarf, my featured item today, or a pair of leopard pumps, which I will definitely discuss soon, will effortlessly add chicness to any outfit without be whelming. Let’s see how this star rocked her leopard scarf (picture from Instyle):

Futuristic Chic: Stylish yet Versatile Metallic Gold Belt

During economic recession like this year, I always want something glitter that can cheer myself up, also give me the hope and power that I need, that’s why I love love gold pieces. As heritage from medieval period, metallic pieces combines retro and modern, luxury and powerful.

Since 2008 till now, metallic pieces never go out of style. We can spot them all over the runways. But I haven’t gotten to the point to wearing gold garments, like a trench or a dress, small amount of glamour is just what I need, like this stunning gold belt on Gwyneth Paltrow. Her belt comes with the dress from Stella McCartney Evening 2012 collection.

Be Optimistic, Stay Strong: Bright Yellow Quilted Chanel Bag

Do you believe a luxury brand can grow and bloom during wars when it’s even hard for people to stay safe? Well, Coco Chanel believes and her business grew strongly during the First World War.

In her opinion, women should carry themselves well and look good to support their husbands, I think what more important is to support women themselves when they were going through tough times.

It applies to today’s women too. As the center of a family, as a member of an organization, women should keep optimistic, stay strong. That’s what I feel when I saw this bright sunny yellow bag (picture from Instyle.co.uk):
