Bold colors are having their moments this fall/winter. As a classic bright color, red is no exception. Last time we focused on red bottoms (different styles of red skirts), today we will continue to focus on red, but at the top–I want to share with you some stylish and glamorous looks incorporated red tops, blazers and coats.
Blouse, long sleeve top, and thin cardigan are great transitional pieces. This Equipment’s signature silk blouse is already became a staple. It’s timeless and versatile, can easily take you from AM to PM. This flattering top by 3.1 Phillip Lim allows us to continue rocking peplum trend in the coming season. Waterfall front design is effortlessly chic. Paired with leather shorts and ankle booties, this cashmere drape front cardigan will ensure style and warmth during cold season.

Kate Middleton really wowed us with her fresh red-and-polka-dot combo. Blazers in bright colors or with floral prints are truly a beloved trend. I have one in hot pink and wear it a lot (see me in it here).
Among so many options, I personally favor two styles: one buttoned ones and lapel-less versions, for their modern vibe. Single-button design usually means a deep placket, which can lengthen our necklines, thus makes us look instantly slimmer, like this one by Elizabeth and James. Lapel-less blazers are polished and sleek, a great alternative to regular blazers. I especially adore this one by Theory. The middle one below by Victoria’s Secret is tailored and sexy, can effortlessly take us from desk to dinner.

Below is my favorite part: red coats! They accompany me year round, safeguard me from winds and rain yet keep me stylish. First one below is a legendary by Burberry. Among the Burberry lines, I love London collection for its elegant and modern spirit.
If you are looking for a fun, ladylike version at a more acceptable price, go with Kate Spade. I fell in love with everything of this New York ‘garby’ wool coat: the sleek silhouette, the colorblock design, the oversized button, the perfect length…
But if you are looking for something casual, sporty yet chic, then you can always rely on Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang. The bright red adds a glamorous twist to this military-style coat from Marc by Marc Jacobs while the drawstring design adds definition to our waists. My favorite way to style it is wearing a long sleeve stripe shirt underneath, pushing up the sleeves of the jackets, showing off the stripes.

Red pieces are more versatile than we thought. You can pair them with basic neutrals, like this cute velvet loafer, and this nude double wrap leather belt; You can play with colors by adding bright accessories like these fresh green statement earrings, this bright yellow envelope clutch, or this hot pink crossbody bag; Or you can show off your fun, sexy or edgy side by adding a pair of studded leopard pumps, an oversized watch, or a polka-dot scarf.
