Swedish fashion model Frida Gustavsson at Fashion Week Haute Couture in Paris

Top: Eddie Bauer

Skirt: Richard Nicoll (great style also on sale here!, similar here)

Shoes: Ralph Lauren (or this pair)

Bag: G By Guess (similar here)

Sunglasses: Ray-Ban (love this pair)

You may still remember my previous post about the timeless maxi dress and its simple solemn beauty. Although those black ones are versatile, bright colored ones are definitely more eye-catching during this time of the year, especially in a bright red-orange hue like the one on Frida Gustavsson above. It’s brighter than red, sweeter than orange–perfect for summer.

Estate blue multi print on Marc by Marc Jacobs spring 2012 runway

Blue and white striped pieces have been an undoubtable wardrobe staple since Coco Chanel first introduced it to the fashion world during her nautical collection in 1917. But the print is becoming too familiar which makes me always looking for an alternative: it should be something new but as classic as the French stripe.
