More is More: Bold Statement Necklaces

My favorite bold statement necklaces from celebrities and fashion editors

If I could only splurge on one accessories, it won’t be a designer handbag or a pair of unique footwear, it will be– a big, bold statement necklace! Yes! There are countless things one statement necklace can do for us: it can show our personality and creativity; can frame our beautiful faces perfectly; can convey our confidence and enthusiasm; can transform any simple and plain outfit in a second; can company us all seasons and many years; can save money for us without sacrificing style…

Especially for me, with thick and sensitive ear lobes, I have to give up earrings. The temperature difference between the inside and the outside during this time of the year makes me hard to wear arm candy since I need to add clothes inside and take them off when go out. So, naturally my neck becomes the only “real estate” where I can play with and stack bold jewelry on. That’s why I have a soft spot for beautiful statement necklaces. Luckily, compared to bold dropped earrings and noisy stack of bangles, a unique necklace is much more acceptable in the office.

For a daytime look, a turquoise necklace (like the one on Emma Stone) or a gold collar necklace (like the one on Valerie Boster) takes casual look to the next level; a bib necklace (like the one on Olivia Palermo) or a crochet necklace adds a bohemian twist to an urban look; a colorful beaded necklace or layered necklaces (like those on Grace Fuller) makes a plain white button-down fun and fresh.

For a night out, a geometric necklace (like the one on Kim Kardasian) balances a ladylike outfit; a gold overstated necklace (like the one on Kelly Rutherford) transforms a simple dress into a stand-out piece.
