One of my “secret” styling tips is always adding an extra something–which I call “the third piece”–to my outfit, especially for the basic T-shirt (or blazer)-and-jeans looks. A lady-like handbag, a pair of trendy sunglasses, delicate shoes, statement jewelry, or even just a scarlet lip, can instantly take a basic outfit to a whole new level.
For me, dressing is all about balancing: balance proportions by wearing long loose top over fitted skinny bottom; balance styles by pairing ladylike floral dress with tough leather jacket; balance color palette by mixing neutrals with bold printed pieces.
