Timeless Striped Dresses

Close followers know my love of stripes: There are countless outfit inspirations about stripes in my posts, and I personally collect striped pieces in various colors, scales, materials, cuts and shapes.

Although been popularized by Coco Chanel, stripes have a resort-related, laid-back vibe naturally. To polish them up, choose black/white or navy/white version in structured blazer or lady like dress silhouette, like the sophisticated A-line and sleek sheath versions on today’s featured stars above.

When it comes to styling: bright colors are their best friends. A splash of saturated primary color like sunny yellow, classic red or cobalt blue really makes the stripes pop.

Another fun way to play with it is mixing prints: teaming stripes with polka dots, animal prints or floral patterns. The key is keeping them in a similar scale or stick to the same color palette.
