Leather jacket is undoubtedly a wardrobe staple. We shared how to style it at different ages (here). Today let’s take a hint from chic stylish celebrities and trendsetters, learn how to style it with new trends.

I will break this series into three parts: how to wear leather jackets with feminine pieces, with bold statement pieces and casual/everyday pieces. As you can see from above, this entry is our first part and also my favorite: teaming tough leather jacket with girly dresses.

When feminine meets masculine, the juxtaposition is always fresh and attractive. Compared to cheerful color prints, black and white patterns give girly dresses a mysterious, edgy touch. Another thing we can learn from these two looks is how important accessories are: although the two ladies are using a similar “formula”– leather jacket paired with print dress–Emma Stone chose nude ballet flats and lavender scarf to soften toughness, while Karolina Kurkova used satchel and ankle booties to highlight the edgy, care-free vibe.

I'm Helen. In the huge fashion world, what attracts me the most is the way different people accessorize themselves. Our daily outfit choices are not just about the pieces we pick, they relate to something lurking deeply within our hearts: how we feel about ourselves, how we express ourselves to the rest of the world, what kind of people do we want to be and what kind of life do we want to live. Following my passion for fashion, I immerse myself in this bizarre world and try my best to share what I learned with you!
