For me, nothing is better than a sunny yellow piece to brighten my winter days. Today’s three looks are great examples of how women of different ages can incorporate this bright color into their fall/winter wardrobe.
When entering your 30s, you need to learn how to dress in a smart, sexy yet classy way, one example is covering up your arms when showing off your legs, and vice versa. Here Miranda Kerr balanced her body hugging mini skit and sexy pointy-toe pumps with a boyfriend blazer. The navy bag makes the whole light-colored outfit more season-appropriate while bringing out the soft blue print on her top.
Diane Von Furstenberg is one of my favorite designers. She knows what we really want, which color combination can make us happy, and what silhouette flatters different body shapes. Her outfits are great inspirations for women in their 40s and above. Here she paired this eye-catching colorblock Goya top with a classic pencil skirt. The whole outfit is well-balanced, age-appropriate, bold yet classy.
As a Victoria’s secret angle, Lily Aldridge has the perfect body. Having seen many feminine and sexy looks of her, I really appreciate her chic, edgy street style looks. For this outfit (above right), I love how she toughened up this feminine peplum top with leather pants, simple pumps and this “it bag”. This is an outfit that works for any age.

The top on Diane Von Furstenberg (here) is actually one piece: a yellow top with pink leather detail. Here we use an oversized Tee and a pink tank top (worn underneath) to recreate the similar colorblock effect:
