Universally Flattering Wrap Dress

Designer Diane Von Furstenberg made wrap dress a huge success when first introduced it in 1972: The light and unwrinkling material, flattering silhouette and easy to transform from desk to dinner versatility make it a stay in our forever-changing wardrobe.

But I have to give credit to Kate Middleton who propagated it in the past two years. Now with the launch of an exciting collaboration between British label Issa, which is beloved by the royals and Banana Republic, it’s so easy to get the luxe queen fit with a friendly price tag!

This blue printed version on Emmy Rossum (below) is my favorite in the collection. The small-scale pattern is right on trend, the color is youthful and easy-going, let alone the wrap belt that can be tied at front or back which makes it even more versatile and fun to play with.

To give this ultra feminine piece an updated, modern vibe, take a hint from Emmy Rossum & Heidi Klum, tough it up with edgy lace up or studded strappy sandals, stick with a fresh face and minimal accessories. A wild print like the leopard on Klum also adds edge and toughness.

前几天，广受上班族亲睐的亲民品牌Banana Republic和大洋彼岸被英国王妃所喜爱的伦敦品牌Issa合作推出了一个系列，就含有好几件兼具经典和流行，价格又亲民的包身裙。我最喜欢的一件就是下图中Emmy Rossum所穿的这件蓝色陶瓷花纹的：图案有些中国风的元素，颜色活泼又好搭，腰带可系在前面或后面，上班或约会都可以穿，又不受季节限制。

要把这种浪漫柔美的单品穿出时尚感，避免大花或大块的几何图案，选择动物纹或有田园或异域风情的小巧印花，搭配上本季大热的绑带或铆钉装饰的鞋，妆容上保持清新自然，饰品的选择上也尽量简单。

A look back at all the eight simple yet stylish vacation outfits from Olivia Palermo reminds me again how powerful statement accessories can be:

A bright or animal print ballet flat adds fun and textures to our looks while being so easy to walk in; A delicate satin heel or eye-catching jewelry piece elevates a simple white dress or shirt; A straw tote or exotic tassel necklace makes an urban look laid-back and beach-ready. Best of all? They don’t take up much precious luggage space.

Vacation is truly a time when we can dress for the mood: Go simple if ‘what to wear’ is the last thing you want to think about: No-brainer one piece dress, never-fail black and white; Extra bonus for a pop of color–be it a neon ballet flat, a bright orange lip or colored nails;

Go bold if you are in the mood, color burst with bright yellow, pink, green and more, don’t be afraid to add statement accessories, as long as you keep them in a similar tone.

In Chinese: 度假的一个好处是我们可以随着心情穿衣服，不再受各种着装要求的限制了：想穿得简单又出彩，黑白条纹的A字裙是最好的选择了，加上一抹亮色就足以让你脱颖而出：无论是荧光的平底鞋，一抹鲜艳的唇彩还是缤纷的美甲。

想穿得靓丽些，在色彩搭配和饰品的选择上下些功夫吧：鹅黄和浅绿，宝蓝和亮橘，炫紫和明黄等都是对比强烈又有时尚感的组合。如果要再加些配饰，那么尽量保持在一个色调里才不会破坏整体感。
