Holiday Party Outfit Ideas: Printed Dress

The holiday season is finally here, which means there are many parties lie ahead. To relieve the ‘what to wear ‘ anxiety, I picked several of my favorite outfits that are great for holiday get-togethers. Start with my favorite this season: digital print dresses.

Olivia Palermo chose a flirty yet edgy fit and flare version. I love how she layered a python blouse underneath to make a sleeveless dress fall/winter appropriate, while blending two patterns together seamlessly.

Miranda Kerr went for a sexy and glamorous body hugging vibe. A tailored menswear double-breasted coat balanced the sexiness of her dress while colorful accessories brightened up the whole look.

Faux Fur Style: Day to Night (Part II)

It’s not the first time I featured Olivia Palermo styling her fur cardigan for day and night (check her previous looks here), today let’s share two more outfits of her, learn how to recycle the same piece for various occasions.

Since fur has the connotation of being formal and stodgy, for a daytime look, we need to downplay it by adding bright colors and youthful elements. Here, Olivia Palermo teamed hers with edgy leather pants and biker boots, and brought in colors via accessories like an artful scarf and cherry red satchel.

For a glamorous evening look, we want to bring out the luxurious side of fur but still keep it up-to-date. Olivia Palermo chose rich jewelry tones like emerald green, crimson red and deep brown for a picturesque fall look and kept it current by mixing this season’s favorite textures and hottest hues. Her bared legs also balanced out the bulkiness of fur.

Tomboy Chic: Turtleneck Sweater & Menswear Oxford

I always appreciate about being a woman: we have way more options when it comes to clothing and accessories. But somehow, it’s those pieces we borrowed from men become permanent residents in our forever changing wardrobe, like the turtleneck sweater and lace-up Oxford spotted on today’s featured ladies.

When rocking the tomboy style pieces, the key is balancing them with feminine touches, like the satin blouse, red nails of Olivia Palermo, or the ladylike bag of Charlize Theron. Rolling up sleeves or cuffs to show the slimmest part of your body is also a great way to add that subtle sexy touch.
