On scorching summer days, all we want is a flowy maxi dress, slip on, we are ready, or almost: For effortless dressing like this, you need to put a little more effort in: a pair of trendy shades, edgy sandals, an eye-catching bag or dainty jewelry… it’s the extras that make a simple maxi stand out.

Throwback 70’s: Flared Jeans

Thanks to her slick middle-parted hair, structured tote and minimal detailed tops, Miranda Kerr made this 70’s flared jeans new and fresh. If you also favor this silhouette, I recommend looking for a pair lies somewhere between a flare and a bootcut. It’s flattering and very versatile. The length is also crucial. Wearing a crisp white trousers with frayed ends is not cool. Spend some time in front of the mirror, with the platform you plan to wear with the jeans, find the right length which should be within an inch or less of the ground. Some recommend wearing flared jeans with flats, I would say do so only if you have supermodel legs, but even super model like Miranda Kerr still went for platforms.

Midi skirt trend brought out the perfect 1940s housewife side in us. Here, Miranda Kerr & Kourtney Kardashian showed two major shapes:  the sexy body-hugging silhouette flatters Miranda Kerr’s slim but curvaceous figure, while the flirty, high-waisted A-line skirt elongates  Kourtney Kardashian’s legs and concealed her wide hips. I also love how they modernized the retro-ness with sharp jackets, roomy totes and trendy sunglasses.
