In a blink of an eye, we’re approaching the end of summer, which means the sartorial challenge we are facing now is transition dressing. Today’s two outfits from style mavens showed us how to transform summer staples like shorts, clogs and bright accessories into fall with ease. Hint: show a touch of bare skin and stay within a rich, sophisticated palette, like the bordeaux, olive and mustard seen here.

I consider colored jeans as wardrobe essentials. If you haven’t tried yet, classic red and cobalt blue are great options to star your collection. Here, Kate Moss & Alessandra Ambrosio showed us two ways to style a pair of red skinny jeans. One I call it ‘casual weekend look’ is demonstrated by Ambrosio (above right). Another I call ‘the bold look’ is from fashion icon Kate Moss (above right). Her luxurious pajama top, wild fringed western style bag and sleek, timeless Greek sandals blend harmoniously thanks to the clean color palette and sleek, modern silhouette.

For very similar combinations: black basics, ankle boots and grey coat, Miranda Kerr accessorised with a covetable goes-with-everything bag and sunglasses for casual day out while Kate Moss paired with a classic yet mod clutch and statement necklace for a fashion event. I also love how they balanced the menswear silhouette with feminine elements like the crop sweater, semi sheer top, tossed hair and that care-free attitude.
