Transitional Dressing: Ponchos & Capes

In a blink of an eye, we’re approaching the end of summer, which means the sartorial challenge we are facing now is transition dressing. Today’s two outfits from style mavens showed us how to transform summer staples like shorts, clogs and bright accessories into fall with ease. Hint: show a touch of bare skin and stay within a rich, sophisticated palette, like the bordeaux, olive and mustard seen here.

We all have bad days. When my legs are swollen, my belly is bloated, I just want to throw on a maxi dress and cover everything. When it comes to color, nothing feels as cool and fresh as white, especially when you are all covered up in the heat. About footwear, This season definitely go with flats. If you still need that extra height without sacrificing comfort, block heel sandal that is! Today’s two white maxi dress outfits, which is your favorite? How would you style your white maxi?

One of the reasons why Kate Middleton is so popular is her down-to-earth style. Not only does she wear high-street brands, but she constantly recycles her old favorites, like this Smythe navy blazer that she has been wearing since 2011. Today’s featured outfits of her incorporate a classic combination–blazer and sheath dress–that is great for the office, formal events or mixed and matched with casual items for the weekends. More overs, Each piece on her is classic wardrobe staple that you can wear season after season.
