Today’s post is a continue of our camel coat series (see Part I here). If you are in your 20s or 30s, my suggestion for rocking this classic, universally flattering piece is being free: feel free to mix and match, feel free to experiment:
1. Be open-minded to any length. Pair classic mid-thigh length coat with metallic skinny jeans for a contemporary look; Accessorize long version with bare legs and pointy-toe pumps for elegant glamour; Team hip length coat with sequin mini skirt for a sexy evening look.
2. Each shape has its own beauty. This one is my favorite this season. It looks like an oversized blazer. The boyfriend style, sleek design make the classic camel color modern and chic. This one with leather sleeves is also a must-have. You know that it’s all about leather this season. If you already have one camel coat you really like, replace the sleeves or collar with leather ones for a trendy update. Double breast style is of course the one you can wear season after season. Another great version is oversized collar coat which can slim your face while adding a glamorous touch.
3. Be experimental when styling your coat: Star with the neutrals, like black tights, cream bags, brown belt, grey scarves. Move to colors, like burgundy gloves, dark green pumps, mustard scarves, navy blue bags. Then go bold with prints, from nautical stripes, to plaids or checks, to eye-catching kaleidoscope prints.
Below I picked six of my favorite camel coats this season. Happy hunting!
