What caught my eye: Beautiful colors on her.
Why I love it:
- No more than three colors in one outfit? Already been broken like other fashion rules. As long as you can master some basic formulas of Color Harmony, you can create colorful yet harmonious palette that will brighten up your day in bleak fall/winter. The look above basically used Triadic color scheme: colors evenly spaced around the color wheel, here they’re yellow, blue and purple. Then she added splashes of red and green with an embellished belt.
- When you want to add more statement accessories on an already vibrant ensemble, keep the clothes simple, stick to solid colors and sleek silhouette, like the yellow blouse and blue-green skirt on her.
- To make beautiful colored pieces more fall/winter appropriate, choose those in darker shades or jewelry tone. Here the rich mustard and deep blue remind me of the beautiful fall foliage colors. Also keep the fabric season-appropriate, like knit, velvet, wool, tweed or leather.
