After seeing the neutral color palette and classic stripe pattern in Marc Jacobs 2013 spring RTW collection, it’s so exciting to see the designer’s signature quirky, whimsical style back on Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 runway.

Besides the unexpected mix-matched prints, the chunky knit socks and wooden slippers combo, the slouchy silhouette that we saw throughout the NYFW, the red and blue patterned scarves caught my eyes.

Models wore the scarves as obi belts or headwraps effortlessly. As you can see from the photos above, the designer paired the classic yet fashionable red and blue patterned scarves with different striped pieces  (from neutral black and white striped dress to multi-colored knit sweater)  for an unexpected, eye-catching effect; with silk top and distressed boyfriend jeans for a refined tomboy look; under a jacket and skirt combo to add a pop of color to the neutral lady-like outfit; with a dress in the same pattern to cinch the waist without competing; or with another bold floral pattern to take fashion statement to the next level.

Inspired by the runway looks, I picked six of my favorite scarves that are perfect for us to try these fresh runway styling tips right now!

I'm Helen. In the huge fashion world, what attracts me the most is the way different people accessorize themselves. Our daily outfit choices are not just about the pieces we pick, they relate to something lurking deeply within our hearts: how we feel about ourselves, how we express ourselves to the rest of the world, what kind of people do we want to be and what kind of life do we want to live. Following my passion for fashion, I immerse myself in this bizarre world and try my best to share what I learned with you!
