Today’s post continues my special series: Style Lessons from Olivia Palermo. As I mentioned in my last entry, one thing I really appreciate is Olivia Palermo’s talent of mixing high and low. Today’s featured item–her bright sunny yellow clutch from Zara is a perfect example.
For a glamour look, she paired it with designer dress with luxurious material or unique designs; For a breezy look, she teamed it with Bohemian pieces; For a sophisticated look, she carried it with black ensemble… Below are styling tips I learned from her, hope all of these can inspire you as well.
(Her outfit No. 4 is based on No.2. And the look No 5 , I already discussed in my previous post here.)
Yellow is my favorite color, especially in spring/summer. When we think about these seasons, we often conjure up images of bright sunshine, bloomed flowers, beautiful sunsets and seasonal cocktails–so, naturally, we feel in love with this bright color.
Different shades of yellow are especially hot this season–from Louis Vuitton to Jonathan Saunders, this happy and uplifting color splashed the S/S 2012 runway.
For those who are wary of bright colors, a bright accessory is a good start, like a buttercup bag. I already shared another stunning designer bag–yellow quilted Chanel bag in my previous post here (the post also includes other designer choices and affordable versions). In this post, I want to share with you other yellow clutches with unique designs or special materials.
Designer choices:
Small patent leather clutch from Jimmy Choo :
Sunny Hills Ellie from Kate Spade:
Studded clutch from BCBG:
Affordable but equally stylish versions:
Yellow and teal snakeskin clutch from LuLu’s, Or another cute one here.
