Modernize Your Floral Skirt

Why I love it: a floral midi skirt gets modernized when teamed with leather jacket, denim shirt and chain trimmed pointed toe booties.

Style Tips:
Pair a midi skirt with cropped tops, like the jacket seen above. Wear it where the jacket ends.
For petite fellows, tie the denim shirt around your waist for a more flattering look.
Change the jacket to a tailored blazer, wear the outfit to the office!

Soft pastels are big this season. Compare to saccharine powder pink, I prefer baby blue for a more grown-up, sophisticated vibe. This color is great for any age, and surprisingly versatile: it goes well with neutrals, like white, brown and black showed above, while blends perfectly with other soft hues like lavender and peach sherbet. My favorite way to wear this color now is with bright saturated primary colors, especially red. How will you play with it?

A bright coat is so cheerful and uplifting! It instantly makes our wardrobe basics, like tees and jeans, look fresh and spring-ready. As you can see above, under 20 Elle Fanning chose sheer-panel blouse and distressed jeans to make her look youthful while 44 year old hot mom Gwen Stefani stayed comfy yet pulled together with maternity skinnies and long top. These looks are great for the office, shopping, hanging out with friends and more…You can also switch the pants to shorts or skirts to create more equally chic ensembles.
