Having a 4 month-old son, I barely have time to get dressed. No-brainer black ensemble is my go-to. How to spicy it up, avoid that tired-mommy look? Two words: details and accessories.
As showed on Heidi Klum above, the combination of denim/leather on her pants, the side buttons on her boots, the fur collar on her coat make the outfits anything but boring. Trendy sunglasses, scarlet lips and hot It bags add the right amount of glam.
These outfits are great for any age, especially handy for busy moms. Change the leather pants with straight-leg trousers or a pencil skirt, you can wear these to the office too.

I love analyzing model’s off-duty looks. Oftentimes, we see them on the most basic and simple wardrobe staples that get elevated by teaming with one or two key pieces: be it an IT bag, fabulous sunglasses, killer stilettos, scarlet lips, or just that confident attitude.

My fondness for anything gingham was literally revived when I spotted this photo from Vogue. Since Gustav III first created gingham as a style for interiors back to 18th century, this simple, minimalist print that combined Rococo with Neo-Classicism never goes out of style. Today, I featured two of my current favorite looks incorporated gingham, hope they inspire you to update yours.
Unlike the born-with-it modern vibe of stripes, gingham naturally has a retro, country flair. To make it fresh, style it with your favorite basic staples, be it skinny jeans, leather leggings, black cashmere sweater or sharp blazer, then spice up the whole look with trendy accessories, like the white cut-out pump and lace-up Oxford on today’s featured stars, both very of-the-moment.
These two looks are easy to adopt and very versatile: add a well-tailored jacket to SJP’s outfit, or change Olivia Palermo’s Oxford to a classic black pump, then add a structured tote, you can easily transform these two casual chic looks to polished, office-ready outfits.
