If you have read my previous posts about different styles of blue dresses (here) and bags (here), you may know that cobalt is my favorite color. I especially love wearing cobalt sweater at this time of the year–late summer, early fall: the calm and cool color reminds me of my happy memories of summer vacations on the beach while the chunky texture keeps me warm and comfy.
The color is bold but so versatile: you can pair it with a hot pink mini skirt or a pair of bright red shorts, and a Kelly green bag or a pair of crisp white sneakers for a bold, colorful and fun look; you can wear it with a pair of dark washed skinny jeans or jeggings, and a pair of exotic print shoes or edgy biker boots for an effortlessly chic look; or you can team it with an unexpected floral high-low maxi skirt and a pair of of-the-moment “Bekket” sneakers for a bohemian sporty look:
Sweater: Vince
Skirt: Vanessa Virginia (under $20 now; also adore this peplum version)
Shoes: Diesel
Bangle: Fantasy Jewelry Box
Sweater: Chinti and Parker (grey and dark blue versions are 50% off now)
Jeans: Topshop (great pair with subtle print here)
Shoes: Carvela (on sale; adore this dressy, ladylike version)
Sunglasses: Tom Ford
Sweater: Mango
Skirt: Funktional
Shoes: Isabel Marant (also here)
Besides the three beloved sweaters (from Vince, Chinti and Parker, and Mango) featured in the three outfits above, I also adore the Clements Ribeiro one with black sequin details and daring low-cut back, the Proenza Schouler one with timeless silhouette and luxurious material; the Yigal Azrouel version with beautiful draping and laid-back vibe; and the affordable yet stylish pieces by American Eagle and J.Crew.
