You may still remember my previous post about the timeless maxi dress and its simple solemn beauty. Although those black ones are versatile, bright colored ones are definitely more eye-catching during this time of the year, especially in a bright red-orange hue like the one on Frida Gustavsson above. It’s brighter than red, sweeter than orange–perfect for summer.
By pairing it with another summer essential–a crisp white tee, you easily get a go-anywhere summer outfit: with a pair of comfy flip-flops and straw tote, you are beach-ready; with a glitter clutch and nice stilettos, you are party-ready; with a heeled sandals, structured leather bag and a fitted blazer, you are office-ready.
For me, the fun part of wearing bright hue is playing with colors based on color scheme. Take this bright red skirt as an example, you can add red silky top and even red sandals to get the monochromatic look, or add pink or orange accessories to get the analogous colors based outfit, like the look above; or add blue and green pieces to achieve the bold color block look.
