Off Duty Chic: Structured blazer & Distressed Jeans

Structured blazer and distressed jeans go together like peanut butter and jelly, they compliment each other, and reflect today’s fashion: putting the two opposites together and blurring the boundaries of off-duty & on-duty.

I featured the above two looks incorporated this versatile yet universally flattering combo, showing how these two stylish icons put their own spin on it:

Miranda Kerr’s bow-embellished pointy toe loafer, enviable designer bag and her signature red lip elevate the look, adding a feminine and sophisticated touch to it, while Jessica Alba’s moody floral print top and must-have ankle booties lend an effortlessly chic and cool vibe to her monochrome ensemble.

White for Fall: Bomber Jacket & Jacquard Pants

Since the ‘No white after Labor Day’ rule has been broken, let’s learn some tips on how to style our favorite white pieces this fall/winter:

Either the timeless white or sweet pastels (which are a huge trend this season), it’s the materials that count. Pick pieces made of wool, jacquard, leather, knit, suede or thick denim.

Pair them with clothes or accessories in rich jewel tones or dark neutrals to add that season-appropriate vibe, like the grey bag, black suede pump and golden brown printed pants on Miranda Kerr.

Bonus points for adding some trendy elements or eye-catching prints to your outfit: be it a bomber jacket, a beanie, a leather backpack or botanical or leopard print.

秋冬穿白色或冰激淋色已经不是什么新鲜事了，今天就来学学今年秋冬怎么搭配这些粉嫩色系吧：

Colored Blazer: Dress Up or Down

While looking for new ways to restyle my suit separates in more fresh ways, I found these two looks of Olivia Palermo are very inspiring:

The cherry color of her blazer is sophisticated but still have that eye-catching effect, let alone the great fit, the classic & flattering one-button design and friendly price tag.

Pairing the blazer with jeans and flats is not something new, but again, it’s the details make Olivia Palermo’s look stand out: the color block on her top, distressed and well-worn vibe of her jeans, python print on her flat and vintage look of her bag.

When dressing the blazer up, instead of going matchy-matchy, look for pants or skirts that has the very similar color but with interesting details/textures or different material, like the leather version on Palermo.

Instead of a regular pump, go for a printed or embellished pointy toe flat, which has the same professional look, but add a trendy and youthful touch, also shows off your character.

我们衣橱里一定都有几套正式的套装，整套搭配起来太过严肃和呆板，我常常会把套装中的一件和衣橱里的其它单品混搭起来，Olivia Palermo的这两个look可以给我们一些适合休闲及正式场合的混搭灵感。

她所选的藕荷色的西装外套（现在正打折！）比糖果色优雅正式，和传统的黑蓝灰比起来又更时尚抢眼。Olivia Palermo常穿来自Reiss这个牌子的单品，设计经典简约又不乏大胆前卫的元素，价格又非常合理。

这种休闲正式皆相宜的西装外套我们都会想到搭配T恤或牛仔裤，但Olivia Palermo的这个休闲的look胜在细节：撞色细节真丝背心，破洞的仿旧水洗九分裤，蛇纹的芭蕾鞋配上猫眼墨镜和大的复古皮革包。

要穿去正式场合时，挑选和外套颜色相近但材质独特或有设计细节的裤装或裙子做搭配：比如Olivia Palermo所穿的这条来自另个品牌The Row的皮裤呼应了今年秋冬流行的淡雅色系及皮革风。

鞋款的选择上，低跟、男士鞋款、尖头、金属装饰等都是这一季的关键词。这个豹纹的铆钉装饰尖头平底鞋是本季的必备，百搭又彰显个性。
