Sunny yellow goes especially well with black and white prints, like classic stripes, polka dots or exotic tribal print showed on Reese Witherspoon above. She highlighted her beautiful sweater by keeping accessories all in black.

This look is casual and chic, great for brunch, hanging out with friends, shopping or school activities if you are a mom. Speaking of moms, skort is a great piece for moms who want to show off beautiful legs while staying safe (you know what I mean) and age-appropriate.

Retro Glamour or Fashion Forward

Coral pink is such a romantic color for spring/summer. When paired with crisp white, the impact is so feminine and fresh. But today’s featured ladies (above) gave this swinging combination two totally different representations:

Miranda Kerr’s wide leg jeans brought her look a 60’s flair. Although by then, stars like Peggy Lipton and Audrey Hepburn liked to flash a little ankle, today we should take a hint from Miranda Kerr, let the hems graze the floor for the leg elongating effect. Heels/wedges are definitely needed for bottoms like this. This look is great for women of any age.

Although Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s crop top is also a retro take, but by topping is off with a sleek structured blazer (like this one), leather pants and metallic cap-toe pumps, she gave the look a more modern and fashion-forward vibe. Changing the crop top to a silk blouse, I can see women in their 40s rock this look beautifully.

Of course, this pink and white combination can be played around more: With biker jacket and safety-pin jewelry, it can be rock chic; With an ikat bag and fringe booties, it can be urban bohemian… the list can go on. Which style will you choose for your pink and white combo?
