What caught my eye: Houndstooth heels on the three ladies.
Styling tips:
High contrast black and white patterns are my favorite, from stripes, to polka dots and houndstooth we featured today. They are eye-catching yet easy-going. As you can see above, the same houndstooth heels work perfectly on Evan Rachel Wood’s androgynous look, Emma Stone’s girly preppy look and Nicole Richie’s feminine, seductive look.
Although black and white patterns are all attractive, classic and timeless, they each have their own “personality”: stripes are modern simplicity, polka dots are romantic and feminine, houndstooth is retro and glamorous.
When pairing hundstooth shoes with monochrome clothing, you can add a splash of color with other accessories, like scarlet lip, burgundy nail or a teal scarf. When teaming this print with other bold colors like the hot pink on Emma and bold red on Nicole above, keep others simple (notice they both chose black clutch?)
One intricate pattern is enough. Keep other pieces in solid colors and sleek silhouette.
Between pink and red, I personally think that pink looks great against pale and black skin tone whereas red and orange are perfect for fair/olive skin tone.
