I adore big structure bags with detachable straps. They are stylish yet versatile. They can hold all of our essentials from Ipad, documents to makeups and snacks and can also add some downtown chic to our looks.
But when it comes to color choices, the decision can be tough: This kind of bag in black and brown plus the rigid shape of the bag tends to make me look formal and heavy. Other bright colors are not so versatile. So white is my favorite choice: The clean color adds more feminine grace to the bag, and can instantly make us spring/summer-ready. That’s why I was so happy to see Rosie huntington Whiteley caring her white tote in NYC:
I appreciate the subtle balance between her girly-skirt-with-edgy-shoes outfit and her elegant white bag.
There is no surprise that this gorgeous bag comes from Jason Wu’s new collection. As a “new” designer who just launched his own fashion line six years ago, Jason Wu already has a great reputation in this industry.
Benefited from his multi-cultural living experience, Jason Wu successfully formed his own distinctive style by combining the high-fashion’s quality with fast fashion’s modern look; mixing the free spirit of American sportswear and the elegance of the old-world. What makes me respect him most is his pursuit of excellent workmanship and perfect details.
Below is the Jourdan Ivory Cross Body Tote from Jason Wu’s new collection:
It also comes in luggage, bordeaux, blue, orange and black colors:
An affordable alternation from MICHAEL Michael Kors:
Among Jason Wu’s collection, I also like this one below, without the detachable strap, this bag is more retro and feminine (available here):
If you like a smaller version, this Jason Wu’s Jourdan Ivory Chain Cross Body Handbag( great colors here, here and here) is a good choice. You can put the chain inside the bag and wear it as a beautiful clutch. The perfect size and the luxury design make it great for a work day or a date night.
It also comes in other three colors: color blocked, luggage, bordeaux and black:
An affordable choice from Rebecca Minkoff:
Here comes the most adorable one in Jason Wu’s collection–Mini Miss Wu Cross Body Bag. It’s online exclusive. With a price that is almost half of the cost as the Jourdan Tote, Miss Wu is a good option for us to try the designer’s signature style. It comes in variety of options: from ivory to metallic, bright green and red, to neutral black:
Affordable alternation from MANGO:
Besides the way Rosie Huntington Whiteley styled her white bag: with a patterned dress, I also love pairing white bag with white pieces, like these two looks of Victoria Beckham:
Or pair white bag with your everyday blue jeans. I love the contrast between the luxury bag and the tough, casual denim. Check out these two looks of Kylie Minogue and Eva Longoria (The white bag that Eva Longoria was carrying is our feature item: Jason Wu’s Jourdan ivory cross body tote):
