In our forever-changing wardrobe, there are permanent residents we can’t live without–the wardrobe basics. Here are my wardrobe essentials worth the investment:

1. structured blazers; 2. classic button-down; 3. quintessential skinnies; 4. trusty shoes (be it a ballet flat, a classic pump or year-round booties); 5. impeccable coat; 6. badass leather pants; 7. motorcycle jacket; 8. versatile jumper; 9. statement bag; 10. signature sunglasses.

Chic Moms on the Go

Being a mom myself, I found these fashion and beauty essentials really help me getting ready faster:

1. A pair of comfy yet perfect fit skinny jeans in dark wash: Comfy is key for moms; Slim fit can remind me to stay in shape; Dark wash ensures versatility.
2. A structured, tailored blazer or leather jacket. Again, for its versatility.
3. A pair of stylish flats: ankle booties for fall/winter, slippers for spring/summer.
4. A high-quality, convertible roomy satchel with zips (yes, you don’t want your things fall out of bag every time you bend over to tie your child’s shoes).
5. A pair of fabulous oversized sunglasses: it covers puffy and tired eyes while saving a lot of make-up time.
6. Bright lipstick: it instantly brightens up my face. Classic red is great, but I’m very into this orange now.

In Chinese: 当了妈妈后，我发现这几样单品成了我的衣橱必备：

1. 深色的紧身牛仔裤（舒服一定是前提；之所以选择深色是因为无论办公室还是学校或者周末去公园都可以穿；紧身则能时刻提醒自己要注意保持身材。）
2. 剪裁合体的西装外套或皮夹克（还是因为它的百搭，有时候即使穿着T恤和运动裤，只要加件外套，换上高跟鞋，就可以去开家长会或和好友聚餐了）
3. 舒适又时尚的平底鞋：秋冬我会穿长筒靴或踝靴，春夏则穿复古包鞋。
4. 带拉链又有容量的大包，可手提又可肩背。
5. 大墨镜：遮住睡眠不足的黑眼圈，又大大节省了化眼妆的时间。
6. 亮色的唇膏，能瞬间提亮肤色。红色很经典，但这一季我更钟爱这款亮橘色。

Oversize Chic: Long Coats and Ankle Boots

Long coat is sophisticated yet very practical for winter. Since the length gives it a dramatic effect, pick neutral tones to avoid being overwhelmed. Also, because it covers pretty much everything we wear underneath, accessories are key to spice the look up, be it a printed scarf, a hot It bag, fabulous shades, or eye-catching shoes.

For petite ladies, I would suggest picking those come with a belt or has slim fit. If wear with pants, roll them up to show some skin. Also, heels can give you extra height while bold scarves and pretty hats helping draw attention up.

In Chinese: 长款大衣保暖又很有范。今天的两个造型教我们怎么搭：首先在颜色上，尽量选择低调的中性色，因为长度本身就已经是很吸引眼球的元素了；其次因为这种大衣基本会盖住我们里面穿的衣服，所以要避免单调，扮靓就要靠配件了，比如抢眼的围巾、大墨镜、设计师手包或一双彩色的羊皮手套；在鞋款的选择上，搭配踝靴会比高筒靴看起来更利落。

娇小的女孩不太适合这种长度的大衣，如果要穿，选择带有腰带或修身收腰的剪裁，搭配短裤或迷你裙，如果要配长裤，可以挽起裤腿，露出纤细的脚踝。配饰的选择上，帽子或彩色的大围巾等都能帮助视线上移，从而拉长身形。
