Five Stylish Ways to Wear White and Black (Part 1 of White Blazer Series)

Oh, white! There are so much to say about it that I don’t even know where to start. No doubt that it’s a perfect color for spring and summer. But since someone raised this question last fall: “why can’t we wear white after labor day?”  Then white finally be worn the year round-which greatly satisfied “white” fans like me.

I have a tiny frame and an “Asian face” which make me look much better and “visible” in white than in black, especially in white tops, they can instantly correct lighten my skin tone. Wearing them as I was holding reflector for myself. So, the first-class members in my  wardrobe are white blazers and button downs.

Let’s start from white blazers. They can add polish to any outfit, and give you the fresh, crisp, effortlessly chic look you need in spring and summer. When it comes to pairing them, there are millions of ways. Today I want to focus on my favorite way-pairing white blazers with black pieces.

I know, this combo is so classic. By trying different materials, details or cuts, and combined with different accessories, this classic combination can be luxury or easy-breezy, edgy or sweet, polish or laid back…You name it. Let take a look at these stylish ladies:

Be Optimistic, Stay Strong: Bright Yellow Quilted Chanel Bag

Do you believe a luxury brand can grow and bloom during wars when it’s even hard for people to stay safe? Well, Coco Chanel believes and her business grew strongly during the First World War.

In her opinion, women should carry themselves well and look good to support their husbands, I think what more important is to support women themselves when they were going through tough times.

It applies to today’s women too. As the center of a family, as a member of an organization, women should keep optimistic, stay strong. That’s what I feel when I saw this bright sunny yellow bag (picture from Instyle.co.uk):

When rock meets romance: Valentino T-strap studded pumps

Back in 2010, when Kate Moss rocked her black simple yet sexy black pointed toe shoes with everything, this 90’s trend gets stronger and stronger. We can see a lot on 2012 spring/ summer runway.

While others are enthralled by this trend, I still stand away from it for the harshness and mature look until I saw these babies: the Valentino T-strap studded pumps. It has been two years but I couldn’t stop loving them.
