Crop tops are a huge trend this year. How to wear them in a tasteful way, better yet, at any age? Take a hint from 20s Jennifer Lawrence and 40s Cate Blanchett:

Pick understated, sophisticated colors like black, white or grey, team them with high-waisted midi skirts or trousers. To reinvent the crop trend without the dated 60s vibe, add a dash of extra wattage with mod accessories, like oversized resin link necklace, high-impact black and white pump, rumpled hair and fresh face.

Sunglasses do a whole lot more than provide sun protection: They are one of the easiest ways to catch up with the latest trend; They make a plain outfit stand out, make an outstanding outfit extraordinary; They don’t take up much of our precious closet or suitcase space; They are trusty pieces to throw on when we have no time for makeup. Below are some enviable pairs to try now and they will surely take you into next season effortlessly.

My best tip? Avoid those with the same shape as your face, other than that, just be experimental and enjoy!

In our forever-changing wardrobe, there are permanent residents we can’t live without–the wardrobe basics. Here are my wardrobe essentials worth the investment:
